BUILDING IMAGES- Steve Lovett Powerpoint- CAROLS 3 images

Image 1
I like how the use of different silhouettes of the human body are shown. I also like how these silhouettes haven't been shaded in with a solid colour but instead have images of other backgrounds. The placement of the silhouettes are also interesting as they are not aligned but have been layered, adding more emphasis to the focal image in this piece of work. Ideas behind this piece could be despite the diversity in cultures, in people and in personality, (as shown with each silhouette having a different background) we all are connected in one way or another, or there's always some way in which we can relate to each other (as shown with the use of layering).

I like the use of photoshop in this image, with merging the faces of 2 people to create a different face. The same process could also be used if future couples wanted to see what their children could look like....
I like how despite the two images being merged or blended together, if you look closer and concentrate you would be able to identify which certain facial features of both images.
Merging of faces, both of these people being connected to politics, could also give the concept of the merging of political views to create one government.

The use of different mediums in this piece is what interest me. I like how the use of different elements, such as the idea of stone, flesh, and also nature have been assembled together to make this image. I like how the person has been painted to look like a stone statue overgrown with flowers, but you can tell that it is a living piece of art as the arms are naked and clearly show that its an actual person.
