LENS- RESEARCH, MOTHERHOOD

Quotes that could be spoken and used as audio in the background.

LENS- RESEARCH, MOTHERHOOD

Idea: When filming use low light, and have only the silhouette of the mother filmed, with the toddler or baby overlapped (increasing the opacity to make it see through).

LENS- RESEARCH, MOTHERHOOD

I like how in this video it shows a number of photos and objects and the only moving image are the hands that are placing and replacing these objects. I like how the photos become moving images with the woman moving them.

I also like the idea of having an interview or a story being told as the audio instead of music. By doing this it also brings to life the photos and the objects.

LENS- RESEARCH, MOTHERHOOD

I like how this video shows the roles of mothers in everyday life and how they have an impact on the lives of their children.

LENS- RESEARCH and EVALUATION

This is another one of Shigeyuki Kihara's works that i like. I like the concept of two cultures both performing traditional dances at the same time.

Watching this gave me an idea for my moving image piece, where i want to have a mother do house work and a child playing at home all at once.
e.g have the child playing with toys and have the mother cleaning up the toys at the same time.
Concept of motherhood. Or parenthood.

I like this moving image because of the overlapping of images that have been used. Opacity may have been changed with each different image and then overlapped on top of each other. I like how doing this shows different movements all at one go.
I also like the lighting, how there is low light being used, which creates a mysterious look. Doing so makes the dance or the siva look more interesting and inticing to watch.

Earthly Father, Heavenly Father

I love the camera movement in this short clip, especially at the end when the camera pans and twists around the kids as they move outside. I also like how the use of a dolly is shown when they show close ups of the kids.

I like the mood of this clip, and want to do something similar to this kind of moving image film. :)
